Assets Group and Kerzner International Announce Atlantis the Royal, Maldives, a Unique New Icon in Global Hospitality

​Assets Group, together with Kerzner International, proudly unveils an extraordinary new chapter in the Indian Ocean, Atlantis The Royal, Maldives, set to open in 2029 on the pristine shores of Vaaredhdhoo Faru Island in the South Malé Atoll.

Spanning 1.36 million square meters with over 5.8 kilometers of white sandy beaches, this landmark dual-island destination, Family Island and Luxury Island, redefines experiential luxury where contemporary design harmonizes with the sea, sky, and landscape.

The development will feature 493 rooms, suites, villas, and mansions, including two underwater villas that offer an extraordinary living experience surrounded by the vibrant marine life of the Maldives. 

It will also include 20 world-class dining venues, two beach clubs, a wellness sanctuary, the Lost Chambers Aquarium, and the iconic Aquaventure Waterpark spanning 70,000 square meters with up to 15 signature rides, setting a new benchmark for destination design and hospitality excellence in the Maldives.

The signing ceremony was attended by Moutaz Al-Khayyat, Chairman of the Assets Group and Ramez Al-Khayyat, President & Group CEO of the Assets Group, HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of Kerzner International, Managing Director of ICD, and Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International.
