Qatar Chamber Board Member Abdulrahman bin Abduljalil Al Abdulghani recently held a meeting with Ashraf Khodjaev, ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar, to discuss strengthening bilateral economic and commercial ties.
The meeting was also attended by Qatar Chamber Board Member Abdullah Al Emadi.
Discussions during the session centered on enhancing trade relations between the two nations, identifying key areas of mutual cooperation, and exploring investment opportunities across several vital economic sectors.
Ambassador Ashraf Khodjaev emphasised that Qatar remains a vital partner for Uzbekistan, highlighting the distinguished relations between the two countries which continue to be propelled by the active support of their leaderships. He noted that this strong bond is backed by numerous bilateral cooperation agreements, alongside an ongoing exchange of high-level official visits and commercial delegations.
The ambassador outlined the premier investment avenues available in Uzbekistan, pointing specifically to high-growth sectors such as agriculture, food security, tourism, real estate, and manufacturing.
He highlighted the “New Tashkent City” mega-project, noting that it offers immense investment potential, particularly for real estate development, and invited Qatari investors to explore and capitalise on these emergingopportunities.
For his part, Abdulrahman Al Abdulghani said that Uzbekistan offers numerous investment opportunities capable of drawing Qatari Qatari investors, emphasizing the importance of holding direct meetings with business owners to present these opportunities more broadly.
In turn, Abdullah Al Emadi reiterated that Qatar Chamber highly welcomes deeper cooperation between Qatari companies and their Uzbek counterparts, noting that Qatari investors are eager to explore the opportunities available in the Uzbek market.
