Best Dividend Stocks in Qatar Right Now, Paying Above 7% a Year

Looking for passive income? Dividend yield is often one of the first places investors look.

Dividend yield measures how much a company pays in annual dividends relative to its current share

price. In simple terms, it estimates the cash return an investor may receive from dividends for every

dollar invested, expressed as a percentage.

While it is an important metric for income-focused investors, it should always be considered alongside a

company's earnings, cash flow, and dividend sustainability.

As of 13 August 2026, Qatar National Cement Company (QNCD) leads the Qatar Stock Exchange with a

dividend yield of 8.1%, followed by Barwa Real Estate (BRES) at 7.8%, Salam International (SIIS) at 7.7%,

Qatari Investors Group (QIGD) at 7.5%, The Commercial Bank (CBQK) at 7.3%, and Mekdam Holding

Group (MKDM) at 7.1%.

For investors in Qatar, this ranking provides a useful starting point for identifying stocks that currently

offer relatively high dividend income. However, a high dividend yield does not automatically make a

stock attractive. Sometimes it reflects strong and consistent dividend payments, while in other cases it

may result from a declining share price.

Dividend yield is best viewed as one piece of the puzzle. Combining it with an assessment of profitability,

financial strength, valuation, and future growth prospects can help investors make more informed

decisions rather than relying on yield alone.
