Commercial Bank Career Day Focuses on Building Qatar’s Future Banking Talent

Commercial Bank, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, hosted its Career Day as part of its efforts to attract and develop Qatari talent and support Qatar’s national development agenda.

The initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to Qatarisation and developing the next generation of banking professionals through training, skills development and career growth opportunities, said Nasser Abdulla Al Harmi, Executive General Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer at Commercial Bank.

“Qatarisation for us goes beyond job creationit is a direct investment in the nation’s human capital,” Al Harmi said.

He added that the programme aims to equip young Qataris with the skills, specialised training and leadership pathways needed to support Qatar’s economic diversification and contribute to the future of the financial sector.

Nasser Abdullah Al-Harami, Executive General Manager and Head of Human Resources at Commercial Bank, said the Career Day represents one of the bank’s strategic initiatives aligned with Qatar’s National Development Agenda and its goal of attracting high-calibre Qatari talent.

He said localisation is not only about providing employment opportunities but also about investing in national capabilities and creating a pipeline of future banking leaders.

The collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, he added, helps align the needs of the banking sector with the skills and ambitions of Qatari professionals.

Meanwhile, Eiman Mohamed Al-Naemi, Executive General Manager and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Commercial Bank, said the Career Day reflects the bank’s vision of building sustainable relationships with the community and strengthening its role as a responsible institution committed to national progress.

She said the initiative supports Commercial Bank’s efforts to engage with Qatari youth and reaffirm its commitment to their aspirations, while contributing to Qatar’s economic and social development goals.

Iman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Executive General Manager and Head of Communications and Marketing at Commercial Bank, said the event reinforces the bank’s role as an active partner in supporting national priorities.

She added that initiatives such as Career Day reflect Commercial Bank’s broader corporate social responsibility vision and its commitment to contributing meaningfully to Qatar’s development journey.
