Dandy, one of Qatar’s leading dairy and food products companies, has successfully completed the book-building process for its initial public offering (IPO), marking a key milestone in its plans to list on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE).
The company announced that the institutional book-building exercise attracted strong investor interest, with 19 institutional investors participating in the process. The offering was oversubscribed, reflecting confidence in Dandy’s financial strength, growth prospects and long-term market potential. Based on the outcome of the book-building process, the offer price has been set at QR5 per share, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
The book-building mechanism is a structured pricing process that enables institutional investors to assess a company’s financial performance, business fundamentals, competitive position and future growth opportunities before submitting bids. By aligning the offer price with institutional demand and prevailing market conditions, the process enhances pricing transparency, strengthens investor confidence and supports fair market valuation ahead of the public subscription stage.
Dandy also confirmed that it has received a no-objection letter from the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) for the completion of its IPO and listing process. The approval represents an important step in the company’s transition into a Qatari public shareholding company and paves the way for its planned listing on the Qatar Stock Exchange.
The company said it is continuing to complete the remaining regulatory and procedural requirements before launching the public subscription phase. Details of the subscription period and other offering information will be announced after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
The listing is expected to further strengthen Qatar’s capital market by providing investors with another opportunity to participate in the country’s growing consumer and food manufacturing sector, while enabling Dandy to broaden its shareholder base and support its future expansion plans.
Qatar Stock Exchange, the country’s principal securities market, provides local and international investors with access to a modern and well-regulated capital market covering equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), sukuk, bonds and Treasury bills.
