Do Not Look Any Further For High Paying Dividend Stocks in 2022

The dividend yield, expressed as a percentage, is a financial ratio (dividend/price) that shows how much a company pays out in dividends each year relative to its stock price.

In general, mature companies that aren't growing very quickly pay the highest dividend yields.

Consumer non-cyclical stocks that market staple items or utilities are examples of entire sectors that pay the highest average yield.

We shortlisted five stocks that currently pay the highest dividends (relative to prices) in the Qatar Stock Exchange – that is Doha Insurance, National Cement, Industries Qatar, Barwa, and Al Meera.

Doha Insurance (DOHI) tops the list with a dividend yield of 6.2%, meaning that investors receive QR 6.2 for every QR 100 invested in the company.

The other companies in the top 5 also pay a generous dividend of 4.6% to 5.8% of their stock prices, which is way above the market average of 2.7%.

Historical evidence suggests that a focus on dividends may amplify returns to investors.

This assumption is based on the fact that investors are likely to reinvest their dividends back into the stock market, which then compounds their ability to earn more dividends in the future.

Does that sound like your investment style?
