Dubai to Host Major Fintech Event on The Future of Finance

Dubai will be hosting a major fintech event on the future of finance this month.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) will be the venue for the DIFC FinTech Week event on 28 and 29 June which will host more than 1,000 attendees including visionary and trailblazing voices from the fintech sector.

Sessions will focus on 10 key areas shaping the sector, including Web 3.0, the metaverse, NFTs, crypto, blockchain, embedded finance, open banking, regtech, and ESG.

Taking place at the Ritz Carlton, DIFC, it will provide key players in the sector the opportunity to discuss and debate the future drivers of growth in financial services. These include fintech innovators, leading investment firms, banks, policymakers, and service providers.

More skilled staff at major banks and tech giants are leaving for fintech startups

Confirmed industry speakers include Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, Arshad Ghafur, President of Bank of America MENA, and Rene Michau, Global Head of Digital Assets at Standard Chartered.

The Hub is also an integral part of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for innovation-driven growth in Dubai, which is shaping the future of finance.

DIFC FinTech Week is being supported by new and incumbent industry leaders including Amazon Payment Services, Binance, Tamara, and The Middle East Venture Capital Association.
