Want to know what insiders are doing with their own company shares? Follow the money.
As of 15 September 2026, insider trading activity across the QSE shows some striking differences when
measured relative to each company’s market capitalization.
On the buying side, Qatar Oman (QOIS) stands well ahead of the rest, with net insider buying over the
last twelve months equivalent to 5.2% of its market cap. Qatar Cinema (QCFS) follows at 0.8%, while
Lesha Bank (QFBQ) stands at 0.5%. Qatar German (QGMD) and Salam International (SIIS) both register
0.3%.
The selling side shows even larger numbers. Damaan Islamic Insurance (BEMA) records net insider
selling equivalent to 25.2% of market cap, followed by Al Faleh (FALH) at 6.2% and MEEZA at 6.0%. Inma
Holding (IHGS) and Qatar National Cement (QNCD) complete the top five.
Why compare insider activity with market cap? Because the same amount of buying or selling can mean
something very different for companies of different sizes.
But insider activity alone doesn’t explain why someone bought or sold. It’s a signal investors can
investigate further, rather than a conclusion on its own.
