Fourth Qatar Real Estate Forum, Cityscape Qatar Continue with Panel Discussions, Agreements

Doha, October 28 (QNA) - The fourth Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 and Cityscape Qatar 2026 continued Wednesday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The forum is organized in partnership between the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) and Informa Tharawat.

The day's program opened with an informal discussion and presentation titled "Real Estate Valuation and Market Data: What Investors Need to Know?", examining the role of data and valuations in investment decisions and market trend analysis.

Other sessions covered portfolio diversification across residential, commercial and mixed-use properties; large-scale investment opportunities and challenges for institutional and high-net-worth investors; digital asset tokenization and its potential to broaden real estate investment; exit strategies and returns; and opportunities and challenges facing new and small-scale investors.

The previous day's program included discussions on the regional real estate investment outlook, market stability and the role of regulatory and economic frameworks in supporting investment.

A regional regulatory dialogue examined the future of the real estate sector in Gulf Cooperation Council countries and opportunities for investors and developers.

The forum also explored the role of private capital, real estate development and investment in economic diversification, as well as the relationship between property development and investor confidence.

On sustainability and governance, a session titled "The Green Premium: ESG and Qatar's Real Estate Investment Case" examined how environmental, social and governance standards can enhance project value, alongside green building trends, resource efficiency and sustainable practices.

Other discussions addressed quality of life as an investment strategy and how lifestyle and consumption trends are reshaping Qatar's retail and hospitality sectors, enhancing the country's appeal as a destination for living and investment.

The session "Cities That Hold Their Value: Quality of Life as an Investment Strategy" explored the relationship between quality of life and the investment value of cities and real estate projects. The session "Qatar as a Lifestyle Destination: Redefining Retail and Hospitality" examined changing lifestyles and consumption patterns and the role of the retail and hospitality sectors in enhancing Qatar's appeal as a place to live and invest.

Exhibitors at Cityscape Qatar 2026 continued meeting potential investors and real estate brokers to discuss available properties, ownership options, promotional offers, project registration of interest and off-plan purchasing procedures.

Several exhibitors showcased advanced presentation tools, including interactive screens and digital tours, enabling visitors to explore master plans, interior layouts, architectural details, facilities and project locations beyond what traditional plans can convey.

United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, showcased its residential portfolio, highlighting two projects: Perlita Gardens, a new villa community on The Pearl featuring 150 standalone villas across seven designs, and Crystal Residence, a completed residential project on Gewan Island offering flexible ownership options and a limited-time promotional offer.

UDC CEO Yasser Salah Al Jaidah said Cityscape allowed the company to closely monitor market developments and present residential options tailored to evolving needs. Its portfolio reflects its broader role as a master developer, bringing together diverse residential projects and ownership options for different buyer segments.

UDC Executive Director of Commercial and Real Estate Affairs Hussein Akbar Al Baker said Perlita Gardens and Crystal Residence offered different residential choices within destinations with established identities, infrastructure and long-term development visions.

Buyers choosing between a completed apartment on Gewan Island and a new villa on The Pearl also consider the surrounding environment, services and overall experience, he added.

Barwa Real Estate Group continued its participation on the exhibition's second day, attracting visitors and investors interested in residential units in its latest project, Barwa Bay.

The development comprises two main residential towers above shared podium levels, with around 639 residential units.

The group also highlighted agreements and partnerships supporting its strategy to expand its portfolio and maximize the investment value of its assets.

Barwa Real Estate signed a memorandum of understanding with Lesha Bank to establish a cooperation framework under which the bank will provide strategic advisory services on the group's international real estate portfolio and potential investment opportunities in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles.

The group also signed an MoU with Doha Bank to provide financing solutions for buyers of residential units in selected projects, subject to the bank's terms and conditions and applicable Qatari laws and regulations. Meanwhile, Tameer Group announced on Tuesday a new acquisition agreement with Qetaifan Projects, developer of Qetaifan Island North.

Under the agreement, Tameer will acquire additional elevated land plots in the island's southern area to develop real estate projects worth more than QAR 1.4 billion, strengthening its investment presence on the island and reflecting its confidence in Qatar's real estate market and growth prospects.
