Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade Praises Qatar's Pivotal Role in Advancing Regional Economic Dialogue

Doha, October 25 (QNA) - HE Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Bisat praised the State of Qatar's pivotal role in advancing regional economic dialogue and hosting investment conferences, whose importance are growing amid global economic and security shifts that are reconfiguring supply chains and creating opportunities for multi-billion-dollar investments.

In remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Bisat said Qatar's role extends beyond sponsorship to helping shape the intellectual discourse on the region's economic future and directing discussions toward practical solutions that enable countries to set investment priorities and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

He said the significance of the World Investment Forum lies in its timing—a period marked by major transformations in the economic landscape of both the region and the world. These shifts require substantial investment to reconfigure supply chains and develop new trade routes.

He added that the challenge is not merely to keep pace with global changes, but to enable countries to harness them and translate them into tangible economic and investment opportunities through stronger cooperation, the exchange of expertise, and the development of shared frameworks responsive to rapid change.

Dr. Bisat stressed the importance of ensuring that the forum's discussions produce practical and effective outcomes that help participating countries navigate ongoing transformations and strengthen their ability to attract and deploy investment in support of their economies.

He affirmed that that Qatar's role will be central in this phase by bringing together relevant stakeholders and fostering dialogue on the contours of the new economic landscape, thereby supporting regional cooperation and opening broader horizons for investment and development. (QNA)
