Lulu Launches ‘Ramadan Souq’

Lulu Hypermarket has a good stock of all kinds of food items despite the Russia-Ukraine crisis and the Group is taking all necessary measures to ensure that prices do not go up substantially, Lulu Group International Director Dr Mohamed Althaf has said.

Talking to Qatar Tribune on the sidelines of the launch of ‘Ramadan Souq’ at Lulu Hypermarket’s Abu Sidra branch, Althaf said, “No matter what is happening around the world, we still have a good stock of all kinds of products here. Prices are matched so that prices do not go up substantially.”

As part of its Ramadan preparations, the retail giant on Sunday launched ‘Ramadan Souq’ with massive promotions on a number of items

Althaf said, “After two-three years now we all will have a proper Ramadan season this year. People will be able to go out, enjoy and meet each other. 

So, we decided to make our Abu Sidra branch, particularly as a Ramadan outlet this year.”

“We have massive Ramadan promotions this year and we have made sure that all the goods are here in time. 

We are also doing this just to give confidence to people that everything they want for Ramadan is available. This is the message we want to share with our valued customers.

 We are welcoming Ramadan with a lot of confidence and joy this year,” he said.

Lulu outlets have also rounded up a list of essentials, activities and offer to ring in the season of blessings and to help its customers prepare for a happy and blissful Ramadan.

 Lulu Hypermarket chain has a plethora of promotions in its kitty to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.

‘Ramadan Souq’ at Lulu is a traditional style of market, which will have special offerings from dates, honey, nuts and other grocery items to household, home appliances and decoration items, home appliances and furnishings with a wide range of curtains and carpets. 

All other essentials needed for Ramadan are also available at the Souq.

Special Ramadan kits containing groceries, such as rice, milk powder, sugar, oil and other essentials, will also be available at less than the regular market price.

The first-of-its-kind promotion in the region will run from March 19 until the Eid holidays.

The inaugural ceremony of ‘Ramadan Souq’ was attended by a number of Qatari dignitaries including Mubarak Freesh, Badar Al Rumaihi, both members of the municipal council, Mohamed Mansour of Qatar Thoras Society, Dheyaa Alshmare of Qatar Society for Rehabilitation and Special Needs and senior officials from Qatar Charity. A number of senior Lulu officials also attended the event.
