LuLu Supports Qatar Charity With QR125,000 Donation Through ‘Shop & Donate’ Drive

In a strong demonstration of community support and corporate social responsibility, LuLu Hypermarket has contributed QR125,000 to Qatar Charity (QC) as part of its ongoing efforts to support humanitarian initiatives. The donation was made through LuLu’s annual ‘Shop & Donate’ campaign, held during the holy month of Ramadan, in collaboration with Qatar Charity’s ‘Charity Partner’ (CP) Programme.

The cheque was presented byShanavas P M, Regional Director of LuLu Hypermarket Qatar, toAmer Mohammed AlBesiri, Deputy Director of Donor Relations at Qatar Charity.

The handover ceremony was held at the LuLu Regional Office on D-Ring Road, attended by representatives from both organisations.

Amer Mohammed AlBesiri expressed his appreciation to LuLu Hypermarket for its continued dedication to community welfare and social responsibility. He noted that the Charity Partner (CP) Programme is one of Qatar Charity’s key initiatives aimed at advancing corporate social responsibility, providing private sector organizations with valuable opportunities to partner in supporting Qatar Charity’s humanitarian efforts worldwide.

Amer praised LuLu Hypermarket’s consistent support for Qatar Charity’s projects and campaigns, noting that their efforts contribute significantly to advancing community service and humanitarian activities. He also called on institutions and commercial entities in the country to support the relief campaigns, projects and programs implemented by Qatar Charity around the world.

In his remarks,Shanavas P M expressed his pride in collaborating with Qatar Charity, noting that initiatives like ‘Shop & Donate’ give LuLu customers the opportunity to take part in meaningful humanitarian contributions. He praised Qatar Charity for its strong commitment to humanitarian and development work, recognizing it as one of LuLu’s key partners in charitable initiatives. He also reaffirmed LuLu’s ongoing support for Qatar Charity’s programmes in the future.

Over the last eight years, LuLu Hypermarket Qatar and Qatar Charity have developed a strong and meaningful partnership through several joint initiatives.

These efforts include giving customers the option to donate at checkout counters across LuLu stores, promoting Qatar Charity’s “Khair Cards” to inspire a spirit of generosity, and working together on the ‘Shop & Donate’ campaign to support humanitarian causes. The collaboration has also been strengthened through a formal agreement under the Charity Partner (CP) Programme.
