Minister Visits Pharmaceutical Factories, Reviews Expansion and Innovation Plans

Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani conducted a field visit to a number of pharmaceutical factories in the small and medium industries area, where he reviewed production operations as well as development and expansion plans aimed at strengthening the growth and competitiveness of national industries.

During the tour, the minister was briefed on ongoing developments in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, including increased production capacities, the adoption of modern technologies, and planned expansion and innovation initiatives.

In a social media post on X platform, the minister said, “Today, I visited a number of pharmaceutical factories in the small and medium industries area, and I reviewed the developments taking place in this sector in terms of production capacities, the adoption of modern technologies, and promising directions toward expansion and innovation, which reflect the continuous growth of the industrial sector in the State of Qatar.”

“We continue to work on developing the industrial environment and providing the supporting factors for investment, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of national industries and achieving the objectives of Qatar National Strategy for Transformative Industries and the Third National Development Strategy.”

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the visit forms part of ongoing efforts to support industrial development, encourage investment in advanced manufacturing, and align sector growth with the goals of the Qatar National Strategy for Transformative Industries and the Third National Development Strategy.
