Ministry of Finance: QAR 4.4 Billion in Government Tenders During Q2 2026

Doha, September 08 (QNA) - The Ministry of Finance announced Tuesday that the total value of government tenders and auctions reached QAR 4.4 billion during the second quarter of 2026.
In a post on its official X account, the Ministry stated that QAR 4.1 billion of these tenders were awarded to local companies, registering a 52 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2025, while tenders worth QAR 0.3 billion were awarded to foreign companies.
The Ministry noted that the sectors of Municipality and Environment, Health, Energy, and Culture and Sports led the sectoral performance index during Q2 2026. 
For context, government tenders and auctions totaled QAR 8.6 billion during the first quarter of the current year. (QNA)
