The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), in cooperation with the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Intellectual Property Training Centre, organised a training programme ‘The Art of Patent Drafting’ at the ministry’s headquarters.
The two-day programme, which concluded yesterday, brought together a select group of specialists, innovators, researchers and individuals interested in intellectual property field. The initiative aimed to develop participants’ skills in formulating patent documents in accordance with international legal and technical standards.
The programme featured practical sessions covering the conditions for granting patents, the requirements for professional drafting, and the mechanisms for protecting innovations at the national and international levels. It also included discussions of applied case studies designed to support participants in effectively navigating the procedures related to filing patent applications.
Organising this programme comes within the framework of the ministry’s cooperation with the GCC Intellectual Property Training Centre to enhance national capabilities and support the innovation ecosystem, whereby contributing to the development of the intellectual property landscape.
