MSCI Keeps Three Turkish Stocks out of Small Cap Index Over Investability Concerns

GDANSK: MSCI did not implement the proposed addition of three securities to the MSCI Turkey Small Cap Indexes as part of its August 2026 index review, citing feedback from market participants and additional analysis of potential investability issues, MSCI said on Tuesday.

The three proposed additions to its MSCI Turkey Small Cap Index had been Tera Yatirim, Tera Finansal Yatirimlar and Kardemir (B) shares.

MSCI said in a written response to Reuters questions, that it would continue to assess Turkish securities on a case-by-case basis where investability concerns are identified, maintaining special scrutiny of the market following investor concerns over free-float and trading practices.
