OTC, Publicis Sapient Sign MoU on AI and Digital Transformation

OTC, the technology arm of Omantel, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Publicis Sapient to identify opportunities in enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation across Oman, the Middle East, and Africa.

The proposed partnership will combine OTC’s regional technical capabilities with Publicis Sapient’s enterprise AI platforms and international expertise to help organizations modernize legacy systems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.

Under the agreement, the companies will assess ways to help businesses adopt AI solutions and integrate them into their operations, with a focus on practical applications that deliver measurable business results.

Potential areas of cooperation include solution design, innovation workshops, joint market initiatives, customer engagement, and the identification of opportunities in priority sectors.

The companies also intend to develop technology solutions that address business requirements and support digital transformation.

Engineer Maqbool bin Salem Al Wahibi, CEO of Outek, said that the company builds partnerships that combine its technical capabilities and understanding of institutional needs with specialized international expertise.  He noted that the proposed arrangement with Publicis Sapient would enable OTC to identify solutions that help organizations upgrade their technology systems and use AI to improve operational performance and service delivery.

Al Wahibi added that these efforts align with the development of Oman’s digital economy and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

Basel Qaqish, CEO of Publicis Groupe in the Middle East and Turkey, emphasized that the MoU reflects the companies’ intention to contribute to Oman’s digital economy, promote technological innovation, and support businesses in adopting emerging technologies.

The companies will assess potential joint projects involving enterprise AI, technology modernization, and business process improvement across their target markets. They will also consider customer requirements and sector-specific applications to identify suitable opportunities for collaboration.

The MoU establishes a framework for OTC and Publicis Sapient to evaluate potential projects and define areas of cooperation in enterprise AI and digital transformation.
