Qatar Chamber Discusses Investment Opportunities in Tanzania's Minerals Sector

Doha, September 30 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber met with a Tanzanian delegation and discussed investment opportunities in Tanzania's minerals sector, including opportunities in gold and precious stone mines, as well as the incentives and facilities offered by the Tanzanian government to attract foreign investment.
This came in a meeting held by First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, with HE Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Minerals of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Steven Kiruswa.
Al Kuwari said that Qatar and Tanzania enjoy strong and growing relations of cooperation, noting that Qatari investors are interested in exploring investment opportunities in Tanzania's mining sector, which offers significant potential.
He also stressed that Qatar Chamber supports and encourages cooperation between Qatari and Tanzanian companies and welcomes the establishment of joint ventures between the two sides in this vital sector and other areas.
In turn, Dr. Kiruswa said that the minerals sector is vital to the Tanzanian economy and offers significant incentives and potential that Qatari investors can benefit from, pointing out that Tanzania encourages investment in the minerals sector that is with added value for the Tanzanian economy.
Tanzania views Qatar as an important gateway for Tanzanian products to West Asia and global markets, given Qatar's advanced infrastructure, global cooperation relations, and leading investment expertise, he added. (QNA)
