Qatar Chamber, ILO Explore Areas of Collaboration

Qatar Chamber acting general manager Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri held a meeting with Francesco d’Ovidio, director of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Country Office for the State of Qatar, at the chamber’s headquarters in Lusail yesterday.

The meeting was also attended by Hamad Ali al-Marri, director of the chamber’s Committees and Business Councils Affairs Department.

Both officials discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between both sides, particularly in areas related to the ILO’s activities and the labour and workers’ sector, to serve the interests of the Qatari business community and private sector.

Al-Mansouri lauded the ILO’s pivotal role and congratulated d’Ovidio on his appointment as the first director of the ILO Country Office in Qatar. He affirmed that there are numerous opportunities for cooperation between the two parties.
