Qatar Joins Arab Finance Ministers To Discuss AI, Sustainable Finance

Dr Saud bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, chaired the Qatari delegation participating in the 17th meeting of the Arab Council of Finance Ministers, which was held yesterday, Monday, and organised by the Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The meeting also saw the participation of experts from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The meeting agenda covered a number of topics of importance to Arab countries, including the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in fiscal policy and public finance, and sustainable financing to achieve sustainable infrastructure. It also reviewed the experiences of Arab countries. The agenda will also include a presentation by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the latest developments in the implementation of tax rulings.
