Qatar, Malta Explore Stronger Trade and Investment Ties

Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, received Ambassador ofMaltato Qatar HE Maria Camilleri Calleja.

Both sides discussed economic and trade relations between Qatar and Malta and ways to further develop and strengthen them. They also reviewed key opportunities for cooperation between Qatari and Maltese business owners.

In his remarks, Al Athba praised the strong relations between Qatar and Malta, noting that Qatar Chamber supports enhancing cooperation between Qatari and Maltese companies across various economic sectors through effective partnerships that contribute to the growth of the economies of both countries.

He noted that the Qatari market welcomes various investments and offers a range of investment incentives and facilities that contribute to attracting foreign investment and enhancing the business environment.

For her part, the Ambassador of Malta said that there is significant interest among Maltese business owners and companies in exploring the investment opportunities available in the Qatari market and strengthening cooperation with their Qatari counterparts.

She pointed to the possibility of organising a business forum bringing together business owners from both sides to explore prospects for cooperation and partnerships in sectors including food, trade, services, pharmaceuticals, innovation, and other areas of mutual interest.
