Qatar, Pakistan Aim To Expand Bilateral Trade

Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs HE Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed and Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce ofPakistan, co-chaired the second meeting of the Qatar–Pakistan Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment, held on the sidelines of the World Investment Forum 2026, hosted by Qatar.During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade and mutual investment, address barriers to bilateral trade, and reviewed the latest developments in negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Pakistan.

They also explored opportunities for cooperation in the fields of food security, industry, technology, and logistics, with a view to expanding economic partnerships between the two countries.
