Qatar Participates in 10th Meeting of GCC Tourism Ministers and Officials

Manama, September 10 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated on Thursday in the 10th meeting of their Excellencies the ministers and officials responsible for tourism in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), hosted by the Bahraini capital, Manama.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE President of Qatar Tourism Saad bin Ali Al Kharji.
According to a statement issued by Qatar Tourism, HE Al Kharji emphasized during his participation the importance of building upon the resilience of the Gulf tourism sector and transitioning from cooperation to a more interconnected and competitive tourism integration.
He also highlighted the importance of developing joint tourism packages, accelerating the implementation of the unified Gulf tourist visa, and expanding joint promotional campaigns in priority global markets, which will contribute to facilitating visitor movement and enhancing the standing of GCC countries as a globally integrated tourism destination.
In the same context, HE the President of Qatar Tourism noted that Doha's selection as the Capital of Gulf Tourism for 2026 represents an opportunity to strengthen integration among Gulf destinations and showcase the shared cultural and tourism identity of the region. (QNA)
