Qatar Post Launches Money Transfer Service to India in Partnership with India Post, Universal Postal Union

Doha, August 15 (QNA) - Qatar Post has launched a new remittance service between the State of Qatar and the Republic of India, in cooperation with India Post and the Universal Postal Union (UPU), coinciding with the Republic of India's Independence Day celebrations, which fall on August 15th of each year.
The service enables customers in the State of Qatar to send money transfers to beneficiaries in India via the "PosTransfer" service powered by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This provides an accessible and reliable way to conduct financial transfers, expands the options available to members of the Indian community in the State of Qatar to meet their financial needs, facilitates the process of transferring funds to their families in India, and enhances the integration between postal services and modern digital solutions.
The launch of this service comes within the framework of Qatar Post's efforts to develop its service system and expand the scope of financial solutions it offers, keeping pace with customer needs and the rapid developments witnessed in the postal and financial services sector.
Furthermore, the cooperation with India Post and the UPU reflects the importance of international partnerships in developing postal and financial services and expanding their scope. This falls under Qatar Post's strategy to leverage global expertise and postal networks to provide practical and reliable solutions that serve customers, strengthen the ties between the State of Qatar and the Republic of India, and facilitate money transfers for Indian expatriates residing in Qatar.
