Qatar’s real estate market continued to see broad-based transaction activity in the 37th week of 2026, with 118 sale contracts executed during the week, according to data from the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat).
The total value of sale contracts registered from September 6 to 12 stood at QR354.5 million. While the value was lower than the previous week, the number of transactions increased 1.7 percent week on week, indicating continued activity across different segments of the property market.
The latest figures, published by Aqarat on its X account, showed that villas remained the largest contributor to weekly sales, accounting for QR150.1 million, or 42.3 percent of the total. Vacant land followed with QR128.2 million, representing 36.2 percent, while residential apartments generated QR40.2 million, or 11.3 percent. Other property types accounted for QR36.1 million, or 10.2 percent.
Doha Municipality led the market in terms of transaction value, recording QR115.3 million in sales during the week. Al Daayen Municipality ranked second with QR86.2 million, followed by Al Rayyan Municipality with QR75.3 million.
The figures highlight the continued importance of Doha and surrounding municipalities as key centres of real estate investment and development activity, supported by demand for both residential and land assets.
Aqarat also reported 13 mortgage contracts during the week, with a combined value of QR115.17 million, reflecting continued financing activity in the property sector.
The rental market also remained active, with 538 rental contracts registered during the week, although the total rental value stood at QR5.47 million, lower than both the previous week and the corresponding week of 2025.
Villas accounted for the largest share of rental value at QR2.36 million, or 43.2 percent of the total. Apartments followed with QR1.89 million, representing 34.6 percent, while commercial showrooms contributed QR0.86 million, or 15.8 percent. Other property types accounted for QR0.35 million, or 6.4 percent.
Al Rayyan Municipality recorded the highest rental value at QR2.5 million, followed by Doha Municipality with QR1.2 million and Al Daayen Municipality with QR0.8 million.
