Qatar Signs MoU With Kuwait on Financial Cooperation

Qatar and Kuwait signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on financial cooperation, on the sidelines of the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), hosted by Qatar in Doha.

The MoU was signed by Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, on behalf of the Qatari side, and Dr Yacoub Al Sayed Al Rifai, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Kuwaiti side.

Minister of Finance affirmed that the signing of the MoU reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the Qatar and the State of Kuwait and demonstrates the two countries’ commitment to strengthening financial cooperation based on mutual trust and partnership. 

He noted that the MoU will contribute to the exchange of financial expertise and information and facilitate the sharing of experience, thereby supporting the development of financial cooperation and serving the shared interests of both countries.

The MoU aims to strengthen and develop cooperation between the two countries in the financial sector, facilitate the exchange of expertise and information, and explore new opportunities to expand areas of cooperation, in a manner that delivers mutual benefit and serves the shared interests of both countries.
