Qatar, Tanzania Sign Agreement on Double Taxation

Doha, September 29 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the United Republic of Tanzania have signed an agreement aimed at avoiding double taxation on income and preventing tax evasion.

  The agreement was signed by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, on behalf of the Qatari side, and HE Minister of Finance Khamis Mussa Omar, on behalf of the Tanzanian side.

It aims to establish a comprehensive legal framework governing tax and financial relations between the State of Qatar and the United Republic of Tanzania, avoiding double taxation and curbing tax evasion, thereby contributing to a fair and stable tax environment.

The agreement also aims at enhancing transparency and the exchange of information between the competent authorities, supporting the movement of capital, trade and investment, and broadening the prospects for economic and financial cooperation in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
