Qatar-Uzbekistan Joint Committee Holds 3rd Meeting on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation

Doha, October 26 (QNA) - The third meeting of the Qatar-Uzbekistan Joint Committee on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation was held on the sidelines of the 9th World Investment Forum 2026. The meeting was co-chaired by HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed and HE Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In a statement Monday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said bilateral trade grew by more than 30 percent in 2025, while Uzbek exports to Qatar rose by over 36 percent.

The statement said the meeting discussed expanding cooperation in priority sectors, encouraging mutual investment, promoting private-sector participation in joint projects and strengthening coordination to implement agreed initiatives.

The meeting reflects both countries' commitment to expanding economic and investment partnerships and supporting sustainable development. (QNA)
