Qatar’s Government Tenders Reach QR5.5 Billion in Q2 2025
Ministry of Finance revealed on Monday that the total value of tenders and bids issued by government entities in the State of Qatar reached QR11.6 billion during the second quarter of 2025.
In a post on its X account, the Ministry stated that QR8.6 billion worth of tenders were awarded to local companies, marking an increase of 91% compared to the same quarter last year. Meanwhile, QR3 billion worth of tenders were awarded to foreign companies, reflecting a 200% year-on-year increase.
The Ministry highlighted that the top four sectors based on the Sector Activity Index for Q2 2025 were municipalities and environment, health, energy, and transportation and communications.
On July 17, the Ministry of Finance announced that total government expenditures during the second quarter of 2025 amounted to about QR60.6 billion, while total revenues for the same period reached approximately QR59.8 billion.
