Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani held a series of high-level meetings on Monday with ambassadors from three friendly nations, underscoring Qatar’s commitment to strengthening international economic partnerships and expanding avenues for trade and investment.
Sheikh Khalifa met separately with HE Nurmurad Mohammed Ali, Ambassador of the Tajikistan; HE Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera, Ambassador of the Indonesia; and HE Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of Finland to Qatar.
The meetings focused on enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Qatar and the three countries, with discussions covering opportunities to further develop bilateral relations, improve the investment climate, and expand collaboration between the respective private sectors. The role of business communities in driving trade exchange and facilitating mutual investments was also a key point of emphasis.
During the discussions, Sheikh Khalifa received official invitations from the ambassadors to visit their respective countries.
These visits aim to strengthen economic ties, boost bilateral trade, and explore promising avenues for joint investments.
He warmly welcomed the invitations, highlighting the strong and growing relations between Qatar and Tajikistan, Indonesia, and Finland. He also noted the increasing interest among Qatari businessmen in exploring investment opportunities in these diverse and dynamic markets.
In his meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador, both sides underscored the importance of formalising cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Chamber and its Indonesian counterpart. Such an agreement would serve to enhance collaboration between the two business communities.
The discussions also highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation in the field of food security and to increase the volume of bilateral trade exchange.
Meanwhile, talks with the Finnish Ambassador focused on advancing cooperation in the field of the circular economy, an area of growing global importance. Both sides explored the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding aimed at fostering closer collaboration between Qatari and Finnish businessmen and investors.
The discussions also touched on supporting the establishment of joint investment projects in both countries, particularly in sectors aligned with sustainability and innovation.
The meeting with the Tajik Ambassador similarly highlighted opportunities to expand economic engagement, with both sides expressing interest in strengthening trade relations and encouraging private sector partnerships.
These meetings reflect Qatar Chamber’s proactive approach in building strategic international partnerships and creating new pathways for economic cooperation. They also reaffirm the Chamber’s role in supporting Qatari businesses in accessing global markets and fostering mutually beneficial investment opportunities.
Through such engagements, Qatar continues to reinforce its position as a dynamic hub for international trade and investment, while deepening its economic ties with key partners across Asia and Europe.
