QC Holds Workshop on Goal Setting

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) organized a workshop for its employees titled “Goal Setting,” conducted by Mohammed Saleh Al-Kuwari (pictured), President of the Gulf Center for Consultancy and Quality.

The workshop was attended by a number of department directors and heads of sections at the Chamber.

The workshop focused on how to effectively define and formulate goals, emphasising this as a fundamental skill for achieving success in various areas of life—whether personal, professional, academic, or organisational.

The session also addressed comparisons between goals and wishes, as well as between general and sub-goals and purposes.

It covered techniques for time and resource management, improving focus, minimizing distractions, and using the SMART model for goal setting.

The SMART model stands for: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timed.
