QC Reaffirms Support for Young Entrepreneurs at Innovation Camp

Qatar Chamber (QC) has reaffirmed its strong support for Qatari entrepreneurs and its commitment to empowering the next generation of business leaders, highlighting their important role in advancing economic diversification, fostering innovation and supporting Qatar’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy.

The emphasis came from Qatar Chamber Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori during his address at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Summer Innovation Camp for Entrepreneurship, organised by the Young Entrepreneurs Club under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

Held at Andaz Doha, the ceremony was organised in partnership with Qatar Chamber and Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) and brought together young entrepreneurs, representatives of sponsoring organisations and other stakeholders.

Al Mansori said the Summer Entrepreneurship Camp provided an interactive and engaging educational environment where participants could discover their talents, strengthen teamwork and acquire practical knowledge about entrepreneurship in a manner suited to their age groups and interests.

He stressed that the ideas, projects and achievements of tomorrow begin with nurturing a generation equipped with knowledge, confidence, creative thinking and the ability to transform ideas into practical initiatives and scalableprojects.

He also emphasised the importance of creating an environment that encourages young people to think creatively, take initiative and develop solutions to challenges. Such programmes, he noted, can help build the skills and mindset required for successful entrepreneurship while contributing to the development of a more innovative and diversified economy.

Al Mansori affirmed that Qatar Chamber will continue to strengthen its cooperation with the Young Entrepreneurs Club and other organisations supporting entrepreneurship. He said the Chamber remains committed to supporting youth-focused initiatives and programmes that enable young people to realise their potential, develop entrepreneurial capabilities and gain practical exposure to the business world.

He highlighted the Chamber’s broader role in supporting Qatar’s private sector and promoting an environment conducive to entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable business growth.

For his part, Dr Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, described the camp as a national youth experience designed to equip young people with the confidence and practical skills needed to make an impact.

He said the camp went beyond conventional training programmes, serving instead as a platform where young participants could test their ability to take action, develop ideas and create solutions. The programme, he noted, encouraged participants to transform an idea into a model, a model into an opportunity and an opportunity into a project capable of contributing to the economy and society.

The closing ceremony underscored the growing importance of youth entrepreneurship in Qatar and the need to provide young people with the knowledge, mentorship and practical experience required to turn innovative ideas into viable businesses.

Representing Qatar Chamber at the ceremony were Hussein Al Abdulghani, director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, and Fatima Al Kuwari, head of Training and Development.

The partnership between Qatar Chamber, the Young Entrepreneurs Club and QSTP reflects continued efforts by institutions in Qatar to promote an entrepreneurial culture among young people and prepare a new generation of innovators and business leaders capable of contributing to the country’s long-term economic development.
