Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has announced the deferral of all due payments on corporate credit facilities and financing programmes for its clients, granting a three-month grace period without any additional interest or fees.
In a statement posted on X, the bank said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to support the private sector, safeguard business continuity, and help companies navigate current economic conditions.
QDB emphasized that the initiative reflects its commitment to strengthening the resilience of Qatar’s business ecosystem, particularly in light of evolving regional developments. The bank noted that the temporary relief measure is designed to ease financial pressures on enterprises and provide them with greater flexibility during this period.
The announcement follows the recent launch of a comprehensive package of financing and advisory programmes by QDB, implemented in collaboration with relevant national entities. These initiatives are aimed at supporting companies and factories operating in key sectors such as food production, healthcare, and complementary industries, which are considered vital to enhancing economic stability and supply chain resilience.
Through these measures, QDB continues to play a pivotal role in empowering the private sector, fostering sustainable growth, and reinforcing Qatar’s broader economic diversification strategy.
