QDB Supports ‘Qatar Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025’ As Development Partner

In a significant boost to Qatar’s trade and financial innovation ambitions, the Qatar Chamber has announced that the Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has joined the upcoming ‘Qatar Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025’ as its development partner.

Held under the esteemed patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, the summit is set to take place on May 7, 2025, at the InterContinental Doha Hotel.

Organised by Qatar Chamber in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Qatar) and co-organised by MERGE Events, the high-profile summit will bring together leading experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the GCC and beyond.

Participants will explore the evolving landscape of trade, digital banking, and treasury innovation, with a strong emphasis on accelerating digital transformation and fostering innovation in trade finance and payment solutions.

Welcoming QDB’s pivotal support, Qatar Chamber Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the country’s financial and commercial sectors.

“We are delighted to welcome Qatar Development Bank as the development partner for the ‘Qatar Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025’,” Al Mansori said. “QDB’s support for the event underscores its vital role in empowering the national economy and fostering innovation across financial and commercial sectors. Their partnership adds significant value to the summit’s objectives in promoting digital transformation and enhancing financial efficiency in the region.”

Highlighting QDB’s strategic vision, Khalid Abdulla Al Mana, Vice President of Enterprise Development and Executive Director of Qatar Exports at QDB, said the summit complements the bank’s broader goals of driving innovation and excellence in the financial sector.

“We are proud to be part of the Qatar Trade & Treasury Transformation Summit 2025, as it serves as a powerful platform for fostering collaboration and driving excellence in digital transformation,” Al Mana said.

He noted that the summit’s focus aligns with QDB’s initiatives such as the Qatar FinTech Hub (QFTH), which aim to push the boundaries of innovation in trade finance and payment solutions.

“This summit also reaffirms our commitment to working alongside national partners to achieve our shared objectives, in line with the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030,” he added.

The Qatar Trade and Treasury Transformation Summit 2025 is expected to serve as a vital catalyst for enhancing the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of Qatar’s trade and financial ecosystems, supporting the country’s broader economic diversification goals.
