QFMA Participates Annual Meetings of Growth and Emerging Markets Committee of IOSCO in Malta

The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) participated in the recent annual meetings of the Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEMC) of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), held in Malta.

The QFMA was represented at the meetings by an official delegation headed by Khalid Saif al-Sulaiti, Director of the Governance and Disclosure Department. GEMC is the largest committee within IOSCO, representing over 75% of its ordinary membership.

The committee seeks to promote the development and greater efficiency of emerging securities and futures markets by establishing principles and minimum standards, providing training programmes and technical assistance for members and facilitating the exchange of information and transfer of technology and expertise.
