QIIB, the Group Securities Sign Agreement To Expand Digital Investment Services

Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) and The Group Securities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and expanding digital services for customers and investors, paving the way for a more seamless and integrated banking and investmentexperience.

The agreement seeks to enhance connectivity between banking and capital-market services by providing customers with access to reciprocal services and advanced digital tools. The initiative is expected to contribute to greater efficiency, convenience and accessibility for investors while supporting the development of Qatar’s financial andinvestment ecosystem.

The MoU was signed at the headquarters of The Group Securities by Hamad bin Khalaf Al Moudadi, chairman of The Group Securities, and Dr Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei, chief executive officer of QIIB, in the presence of a number of senior officials from bothinstitutions.

Under the agreement, QIIB and The Group Securities will work together to provide reciprocal services and develop digital solutions designed to enrich the experience of investors in the capital market. The cooperation will focus on leveraging advanced technology to facilitate access to financial and investment services while ensuring compliance with the highest banking and professional standards.

The partnership also reflects the growing importance of digital integration in financial services, as customers increasingly seek convenient platforms that allow them to manage their banking and investment needs efficiently.

Commenting on the agreement, Al Moudadi said the MoU marks an important milestone in the longstanding relationship between The Group Securities and QIIB.

“We are pleased to sign this MoU with a prestigious financial institution of QIIB’s stature, crowning a relationship extending for more than thirty years, to raise the efficiency of services provided to investors and embody our keenness to build strategic partnerships with the local banking sector to enhance the investment trading environment,” he said.

He added that the agreement reflects the two institutions’ commitment to strengthening cooperation and developing innovative solutions that serve investors and contribute to improving the overall trading environment.

Dr Al Shaibei said the agreement represents a new strategic step in QIIB’s efforts to broaden its digital services network and strengthen its cooperation with key institutions operating in Qatar’s financial sector.

“The signing of this MoU represents a new strategic step within our continuous efforts to expand our digital service network. We place digital transformation and innovation at the forefront of our priorities, in line with the Qatar National Vision of building a knowledge-based digital economy,” he said.

The QIIB CEO highlighted the importance of technology and innovation in shaping the future of financial services, noting that closer integration between banking and investment platforms can create greater value for customers and investors.

The agreement is also aligned with Qatar’s broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation across the financial sector and develop a modern, technology-driven investment environment. By combining the banking capabilities of QIIB with the capital-market expertise and investment services of The Group Securities, the partnership is expected to offer customers greater convenience and a more connected financial experience.
