QSE Index Opens Higher

The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Wednesday, gaining 36.34 points, or 0.34%, to reach 10,782 points at the start of trading, compared to the previous session's close.

The rise was driven by gains across most sectors. Telecommunications led the advance with an increase of 1.0%, followed by Banks and Financial Services (+0.39%), Transportation (+0.17%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.14%), Industrials (+0.12%), and Insurance (+0.02%). The Real Estate sector was the only decliner, edging down 0.01%.

By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 43.17 million from 19.66 million shares traded across 3,224 transactions.
