QSE Index Opens Lower

Doha, August 20 (QNA) - Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index decreased by 21.83 points, or 0.22%, at the start of Sunday's trading, reaching 9,751 points, under pressure from five sectors.

The market data showed gains in Telecoms (+0.62%) and Consumer Goods and Services (+0.24%). Meanwhile, performance has declined in the sectors of Banks and Financial Services (-0.13%), both Insurance and Real Estate (-0.25%), Industrials (-0.35%), and Transportation (-0.96%).

By 10:00 am, turnover stood at QR 41.564 million, with 20.582 million shares traded in 2,828 transactions, according to QSE data. (QNA)
