The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started the week on a strong note, with the benchmark index advancing 130.05 points, or 1.31 percent, to close Sunday’s trading session at 10,050.74 points, driven by broad-based buying across key sectors.
Investor activity remained robust throughout the session, with a total of 134.52 million shares changing hands in 23,620 transactions, generating a turnover of QR302.45 million.
Market breadth was firmly positive, reflecting improved investor sentiment. Shares of 39 listed companies closed in positive territory, while 11 companies ended lower and three companies remained unchanged.
The rally also lifted the market’s overall valuation, with market capitalisation rising to QR604.21 billion at the close of trading, compared with QR594.18 billion in the previous session, adding more than QR10 billion in market value.
The positive performance comes as investors continue to monitor corporate earnings, economic indicators and global market developments, while confidence in Qatar’s economic outlook and strong corporate fundamentals continues to support trading activity on the exchange.
The QSE has maintained steady momentum in recent sessions, with renewed buying interest in blue-chip stocks helping the benchmark index reclaim the 10,000-point level and reinforcing positive sentiment among investors.
