The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended the session on a positive note, with the index rising 93.66 points, or 0.93 percent, to close at 10,188.47 points. Market activity remained robust, with 206.7 million shares traded for a total value of QR 669.06 million across 32,646 transactions.
The session saw 38 companies gain, while 14 declined and one remained unchanged, reflecting broad-based market participation. Market capitalisation increased to QR600.41 billion, up from QR594.62 billion in the previous session.
Among the top performers, Alkhaleej Takaful Insurance led the gains with a 6.06 percent increase, followed by Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (+4.55 percent), Qatar Gas Transport (+3.53 percent), Doha Insurance (+2.66 percent), and Qatar General Insurance & Reinsurance (+2.50 percent).
On the losing side, Al Ahli Bank registered the largest decline, dropping 5.02 percent, while Qatar Islamic Insurance (-3.90 percent), Mekdam Holding (-2.46 percent), MEEZA (-1.71 percent), and Qatari Investors Group (-1.33 percent) also recorded losses.
